Contango is growing rapidly, and we're looking for a

Finance Controller

to join our Finance team in Abu Dhabi. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings rigor, insight, and structure to financial operations.

Perform accounting operations activities to a high degree of accuracy, completeness and thoroughness in a timely manner, including - expenses, payroll, revenues, client and supplier invoices, payables and supplier payments Support the monthly payroll processing ensuring zero errors and on time payments Support the preparation of the annual budget and provide any required analysis for monthly forecasts Review treasury and cash needs for all payments and prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow reports Perform detailed analysis of all relevant Profit and Loss and Balance sheet accounts and reconciliations necessary for closing the financial books in a timely manner Manage preparation, finalization and issue of monthly/ quarterly/ annual financials as per auditing and ADQ reporting requirements Coordinate with both internal and external auditors for all audit related work and reporting Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Perform variance analysis between actuals and forecast with suitable commentary Support the pricing process by keeping an updated database of all approved pricing Support the Project profitability analysis comparing budgeted project costs with actuals with explanations Support the FP&A lead in the forecasting and planning exercise conducted monthly/annually as required

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or related field


CPA/ CA/CMA fully/ partially qualified is a plus

Experience

5-7+ years of relevant work experience in financial accounting, reporting and audit Proficient user of advanced excel, financial models and PowerBI Financial Planning and Analysis experience is preferred Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards Familiar in working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle)
