Job Summary

The Finance Auditor is responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on financial audits to assess the accuracy of financial records, compliance with standards and regulations, and the effectiveness of internal controls. This role identifies financial risks, evaluates financial data and processes, and provides actionable recommendations to improve financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute financial audits of company accounts, records, systems, and processes. Examine financial statements, ledgers, and accounting systems for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, errors, and control weaknesses. Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement. Communicate audit results clearly to management and stakeholders. Assist with compliance testing and support coordination with external audit processes. Contribute to risk assessment activities and continuously monitor financial controls. Follow up on audit findings and monitor the implementation of corrective actions. Maintain comprehensive and accurate audit documentation and work papers. Stay current with financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial audit methodologies, and internal control frameworks. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to interpret financial information and identify risks. Proficient written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficiency with financial systems, audit software, and Microsoft Office tools. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA). Relevant experience in financial auditing, accounting, or related roles. Familiarity with financial reporting frameworks, internal control standards, and regulatory requirements.
