Overview of Role The position reports to the CEO/FC and will be contributing and supporting the oil trading business as well as the development of the Accounting platform for the company. The role will need to be adaptive at establishing and disseminating best practice accounting policies and procedures and contribute towards reviewing financial policies and procedures in the UAE. The role will also be responsible for assisting the CEO/CFO as well as general office administration, vendor management, courier services and travel related support. The role will assist senior management staff with administrative matters including expenses collation and submission. Main ResponsibilitiesBank Account Management / Full Accounting Spectrum
Managing/monitoring bank relationship and accounts
Accounts opening/cancellation and related documentation involved with the banks
Familiar with Letter of Credit/Stand-by Letters of Credit and Bid/Performance Bonds
Liaise with operators and accounting to update the banks position in a timely manner
Update banks about status of transactions / Address compliance queries
Ensure that transactions and payments are settled timely and efficiently
Follow up receivables and payables relating to cargo financing
Provide assistance in the management of the company\xe2\x80\x99s foreign exchange exposure
Monitor the cash position and liaise with banks to book deposits and loans
Admin & Accounting
Ensure monthly closing accuracy, reporting requirements and deadlines are met
Prepare monthly management report, financial analysis and audit schedules
Preparation/reconciliation of monthly products P&L for business
Preparation of the consolidated financial statements
Preparation and submission of tax matters including VAT
Verification / posting of trade invoices and preparation of related parties transaction schedules
Assist in statistical submission
Work with external auditors, resolving any accounting or tax related issues
Provide full spectrum HR support (Payroll, Comp & Benefits, Recruitment, Work Passes, Leave and so on)
Handle general services and office facilities management
Attend to other ad-hoc duties as directed
Various tasks
Assist the Group Financial Controller / Finance Manager in specific projects, such as pre-financing
Provide assistance in the internal registration of new counterparts and register the Company with new counterparts
Profile The individual should have the following experience:
4 - 7 years working experience in trade commodity finance within a bank or a oil and gas trading company
Detailed-oriented, precise, reliable and patient
Good communication skills and capacity to interact with diverse people in an international environment
Languages: English, Arabic, Chinese being an asset
Driven and ability to work under pressure
Capacity to work within a team
