We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled
Field Technician Specialist
to join our team in Dubai. This critical field-based role is responsible for the successful deployment, installation, and ongoing maintenance of our RedBox (lockers and counters) within an assigned territory.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver with strong electromechanical skills, a passion for technology, and the ability to work independently. You will be the face of our company to our retail partners, ensuring that our lockers are fully operational, presentable, and ready to serve customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deployment & Installation:
New Site Builds:
Manage the end-to-end installation of new Redbox lockers and counters at partner retail locations.
Site Coordination:
Work with store management, electricians, and logistics teams to ensure site readiness and a smooth installation process.
System Setup:
Assemble locker components, connect all hardware, establish network connectivity, and perform system tests to ensure full functionality.
Brand Standards:
Ensure all new deployments are set up according to company and brand guidelines for appearance and placement.
2. Maintenance & Technical Support:
Preventative Maintenance:
Travel to locker locations within your route to perform scheduled cleaning, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Respond to service calls and automated alerts to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues, including:
+ Hardware failures (e.g., touch screens, card readers, payment systems)
+ Mechanical jams (e.g., robotic arms, dispensing mechanisms, locker doors)
+ Software and connectivity problems
Component Replacement:
Efficiently repair or replace faulty components using company-provided tools and parts.
3. Administrative & Logistics:
Inventory Management:
Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and tools in your assigned service vehicle.
Documentation:
Meticulously record all service, repair, and installation activities in the company's field service management system.
Partner Relations:
Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with store managers and staff at all locker locations.
Vehicle & Asset Management:
Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, and properly maintained.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
This is a field-based position requiring daily travel within an assigned territory. A company vehicle will be provided.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, parts, and equipment (up to 35 kg).
Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
Ability to work in various environments (indoors and outdoors) and in different weather conditions.
Availability for an on-call rotation for after-hours or weekend emergencies may be required.

Requirements
High school diploma, technical diploma, or equivalent.
2+ years of experience
in a field service role, maintenance, or technical support, particularly with electromechanical systems.
Strong technical aptitude
with proven experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeter).
Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and IP networking principles.
A
valid UAE driver's license
and a clean driving record are mandatory.
Excellent time management
and self-discipline; must be able to work independently and manage your own schedule.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Professional demeanor and strong communication skills for interacting with retail partners.
Preferred:
Associate's degree or technical certification (e.g., A+, Network+, or electronics certification).
Experience with low-voltage wiring and system diagnostics.
