Job Purpose

Participate in planning, organizing, and controlling the external contracting of Refueling and Turbine Services and other outage support contracts to achieve Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) performance targets in safety, cost, quality, and schedule. Liaise between the various representatives and line managers throughout the entire maintenance contract process to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective field execution of maintenance contracts in accordance to NAWAH standards and procedures.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Verify contract preparation meets Nawah standards to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Verify that contracts are developed and processed with sufficient time margin to provide allowance for unexpected issues.
  • Participate in developing contracts to ensure allocated budget is maintained in accordance with the approved guideline and budget allowance.
  • Participate in the development of special commercial conditions for tendering documents required to ensure their completeness.
  • Verify all documents are complete and accurate prior to the preparation of special contracts to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Conduct due diligence review of all maintenance and inspection contracts prior to initiating site field work to confirm compliance with the Nawah Safety.
  • Participate in evaluating incoming quotes and tenders in conjunction with the contract requisitioned to ensure contracts are prepared and executed within a timely fashion.
  • Participate in assessing conformance with the specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in providing guidance and oversight to contract performance ensuring commitments are adhered to in the areas of safety, budget, quality, and schedule and ensure alignment with the Nawah Way and AT-SITE values.
  • Participate, as required, in contract negotiations, in clarifying BNPP requirements to potential suppliers and communicate information between suppliers and stakeholders to ensure effective cross-communication.
  • Monitor contract development to ensure that it meets scheduled milestones established to track support activities including contract preparation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Facilitate initiation and closure activities for maintenance and inspection contracts to ensure proper contract management steps are followed.
  • Participate in conducting preliminary field visits, contractor orientations, due diligence reviews, security clearances/ work permits perform post-evaluation feedback and capture lessons-learned for future contract implementation.

Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Support outage and/or the emergency response organization, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.
