Responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, (pre) commissioning, and maintenance of reciprocating compressor systems used in natural gas applications
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct pre-commissioning activities, including equipment inspection, alignment, and pre-start checks
Oversee the installation of natural gas reciprocating compressor packages according to design specifications and manufacturer guidelines
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure timely and accurate installation
Perform comprehensive testing, calibration, and performance verification of gas compressor equipment to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to the compressor package performance, efficiency, and reliability
Analyze test results, identify faults or anomalies, and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies
Ensure the proper start-up of reciprocating compressor packages, including system checks, initial calibration, and verification of control parameters
Conduct performance tests, capacity checks, and safety system verifications during the commissioning phase
Lead major maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks on a variety of gas engines, gas compressor equipment, or associated systems
Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to maintain equipment in compliance with maintenance requirements
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, techniques, and technical knowledge to identify and resolve complex rotating equipment issues promptly
Prepare accurate and detailed commissioning reports, maintenance records, and documentation of all activities performed
Generate reports on system performance, maintenance findings, and recommended improvements
Recommend improvement against deviations observed during the commissioning, repairing, and servicing activities and share them with the concerned teams
Document any modifications, upgrades, or replacements made to equipment components or systems
Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager
Qualifications
Minimum Technical or Engineering degree in a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in commissioning and maintaining natural gas reciprocating compressor packages
Minimum 2 field certifications from the major gas engine and reciprocating compressor manufacturers
In-depth knowledge of Waukesha, Caterpillar gas engines, Ariel gas compressors, gas transmission systems, and other OEM\'s a plus
Proficient in using various diagnostic tools, instrumentation, and software applications relevant to compressor systems
Strong communication and customer-facing skills with the capability of working in difficult situations with multiple stakeholders
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control system components
Strong knowledge of PC tools as, not limited to, Microsoft Office MS Word and MS Excel
