About the team

Careem Grocery is on a mission to reinvent the way people shop for grocery, pharmacy and retail products. As an exciting new vertical within Careem (a startup within a startup), we're in the early stages of building our product and have plenty of interesting and fundamental challenges to solve in order to achieve our ambitious growth goals in this burgeoning space.

We're looking for a dynamic, hands-on Field Marketing Manager to lead the local go-to-market efforts for our new dark store openings. You will be at the forefront of offline marketing execution, ensuring residents near our newly launched dark stores are fully aware they can now conveniently order groceries through our app -- faster and more affordably than ever.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on taking ownership, has a strong bias for action, and blends structured execution with a creative flair. You'll manage a team of interns on the ground, coordinate with central marketing for collateral and assets, and experiment with bold, on-the-ground tactics to drive hyperlocal awareness.

What you'll do

Launch Execution + Own the end-to-end offline marketing strategy for each new dark store launch -- from pre-launch buzz to sustained local engagement.
+ Develop and maintain a hyperlocal playbook for dark store openings, customized by city or neighbourhood.

Tactical Field Marketing + Deploy activation campaigns (e.g. street teams, flyers, standees, signage, community partnerships).
+ Experiment with non-traditional offline tactics to grab attention and convert awareness into app installs and orders.

Team Management + Recruit, train, and lead a team of interns or part-time brand ambassadors.
+ Manage daily field operations, coverage plans, and performance tracking.

Cross-functional Coordination + Liaise with the central Marketing and Creative teams for campaign assets, branding guidelines, and merchandising support.
+ Provide feedback to Product/Operations on local trends and user insights.

Budget & Reporting + Manage local budgets for activations, printing, and incentives.
+ Measure campaign effectiveness using KPIs (impressions, conversions, CAC) and provide post-launch reports and learnings.

What you'll need

Successful candidates will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer centricity, and a strong alignment with our core values and purpose, more specifically:

4-6 years of experience in

field marketing, brand activation, or retail expansion

. Proven experience managing

on-ground teams

and executing

local marketing campaigns

. A natural

self-starter

who is organized, detail-oriented, and not afraid to get hands dirty. Strong communicator, both with ground teams and cross-functional stakeholders. Creative mindset -- able to bring

innovative ideas

to traditional neighbourhood outreach. * Comfortable using tools to track and measure field performance (Google Sheets, dashboards, etc.).
