The Field Compliance Coordinator (Safety Engineer) will play a crucial role in ensuring safety compliance in field operations within the oil and energy industry. The successful candidate will work closely with field staff, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure safety standards are adhered to and that all operational requirements are met. The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the field Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and make recommendations for corrective action Provide training and support to field staff on relevant safety guidelines and procedures Write and recommend policies and procedures to improve safety performance Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses and make recommendations for prevention Collaborate with other departments, contractors, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety Participate in emergency response planning and ensure compliance with emergency response protocols Assist with hazard identification and risk assessments Requirements Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field 11 to 15 years of experience in safety and compliance within the oil and energy industry Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and guidelines Ability to identify hazards and make recommendations for corrective action Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive approach to problem-solving Experience with emergency response planning and protocols.
