The Field Application Engineer (FAE) - UPS & Data Centers is responsible for providing technical expertise, Onsite support and application support to our sales teams. The role involves detailed site visit as per project specifications, pre-sales consultation, solution design, product selection, technical presentations, and post-sales support for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), Batteries, Cooling Systems, and other critical power infrastructure in data centers and mission-critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Detailed Site visit to check the basic parameters as per project specifications
Analyze the requirements, recommend the suitable products from Delta portfolio
Prepare the project BOQ for the sales team to pitch it to the client
Technical Presentations to explain the solution and compliance to the project specs.
Testing & Commissioning of the units (if required)
Compliance and other required documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electricals / Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of experience in UPS and battery systems, cooling solutions and data center application products
Hands-on experience in UPS commissioning, technical support, or field engineering.
Certifications like CDCP, CDCDP, or PMP (preferred).
Strong knowledge of UPS topologies and battery technologies and calculations.
Familiarity with data center infrastructure components (cooling, racks, PDUs, generators, ATS).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and SLDs.
AutoCad knowledge preferred.
Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and system optimization.
