Job Description

The Kitchen Helper supports the kitchen staff in food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining overall kitchen hygiene. This role ensures the kitchen operates efficiently and adheres to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping ingredients). Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including floors, work surfaces, and equipment. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools promptly and thoroughly. Receive and store kitchen supplies and ingredients appropriately. Dispose of garbage and ensure waste areas are sanitized. Support chefs and cooks during busy service times. Follow food safety and hygiene regulations strictly. Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor or chef.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a kitchen or food preparation setting is an advantage. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety.

Skills & Competencies:



Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Team player with a cooperative attitude.
