Job Description

A lovely, private family in the UAE, are looking for a female live-in chef. The family live between Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, but the chef will be based in Al Ain, at the principals home. There may also be an opportunity for them to travel to Europe, along with the family. The schedule is to be determined but will be between Monday and Saturday, with flexibility sometimes needed. Accommodation will be provided in the private female living quarters.

They enjoy family style cooking, (there are 4 children) so it's important the cooking be child-friendly. The chosen candidate should have experience with lactose, gluten, and wheat-free cooking. The chef will prepare a daily/weekly menu and then source the food from local stores. They should also be ready to help with any events and gatherings the family may hold.

Duties will include cooking healthy meals for the family and consistently keeping all areas of the kitchen clean and tidy to the highest manner as well as organising the stocks, supplies, and checking expiry dates.

This is a fully staffed household, so the candidate should be a team-player. The candidate should also be able to use their initiative, be willing to learn new skills and make suggestions on new cuisine styles.

The chef will be provided with 30 days annual vacation, medical insurance, and a salary of AED 10,000 per month (approximately $2,700 per month). The position is open to candidates worldwide, so if you feel this is the perfect role for you please apply to EH014.
