The General Practitioner (GP) in Home Healthcare provides comprehensive medical care to patients in their homes. This role involves diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, conducting health assessments, prescribing medications, and promoting patient wellness. The GP will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Perform thorough physical examinations and assessments at the patient's home.
Diagnosis and Treatment:
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, providing timely and effective care.
Medication Management:
Prescribe appropriate medications and manage treatment plans in line with current medical guidelines.
Collaboration:
Work alongside nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and company protocols.
Patient Follow-Up:
Monitor patient progress and update care plans as required.
Compliance:
Adhere to medical, legal, and ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
Education:
Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Valid DHA license/Eligibility Letter to practice as a General Practitioner
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a GP, preferably with experience in home healthcare.
Skills:
Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build rapport with patients and families
Compassionate, patient-centered approach
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) are preferred.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset).
