. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to promoting physical health, self-esteem, and active lifestyles in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and lead age-appropriate fitness classes and activities for kids and teens, incorporating elements of fun, fitness, coordination, and teamwork.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating class environment that encourages participation and engagement.
Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all participants during sessions.
Adapt fitness programs to accommodate various age groups, fitness levels, and abilities.
Communicate clearly with children, teens, and their guardians about class expectations and progress.
Monitor and maintain a clean and safe workout space.
Serve as a positive role model promoting healthy habits, respect, and self-confidence.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Certification in Group Fitness, Youth Fitness, or related fields (ACE Youth Fitness, NASM Youth Exercise Specialist, etc.)
Experience teaching fitness, dance, sports, or physical education to children or teens
CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Enthusiastic, engaging, and child-friendly personality
