The Cleaner plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within our medical clinic. This position is essential for maintaining high health standards to prevent infections and provide a welcoming, sanitary space for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
General Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, waiting areas, exam rooms, offices, and shared spaces
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, ensuring all areas are free of dust, dirt, and debris
Empty trash bins, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste, including biohazard materials
Sanitization and Infection Control:
Disinfect high-touch areas, including door handles, light switches, countertops, and medical equipment
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors, and restock supplies as needed
Follow infection control protocols and use cleaning agents suitable for medical settings
Safety and Compliance:
Follow health and safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
Safely store and handle cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring they are secure and away from patients
Report maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager or Clinic Administrator
Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior cleaning experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting, with knowledge of infection control and medical-grade cleaning products
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high cleanliness standards, ability to work independently, and good communication skills
