FEMALE CENTRE ASSISTANT



We have an exciting opening for a Centre Assistant in our specialist Early Intervention & Therapy Centre. The position will include a range of roles including assistance to children with unique learning needs in various therapy activities, supporting other staff, cleaning and upkeep of the centre, or other activities as needed. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organised, and dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for both staff and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:



High school/Bachelor's Degree A minimum of 2 years work experience in relevant field. Experience working directly with young children who have additional needs and/or disabilities

Fluent in English, both written and spoken Be dynamic, enthusiastic, proactive, and highly motivated Be versatile and have the ability to work in a multicultural environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour Ability to interact positively with children and their families Maintain high standards of ethical conduct Must be flexible and able to take initiative as and when required. Good admin & computer skills, and be proficient in using Microsoft Office Ability to commute to Jebel Ali 1, Dubai

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES



Understand each child's specific individual needs, abilities, and disabilities Support class leader and therapists in lesson & activity planning Develop and prepare resources suitable to child's IEP Assist the children's participation in daily class routines and therapy groups Assist, motivate and encourage the children to complete required tasks Intervene with minimal appropriate support, when the children cannot complete the task independently Participate in the children's progress evaluations Communicate effectively with the children, class leaders and therapists Proficient in using the children's assistive devices and communication aids, where applicable. Implement specific strategies and behaviour plans as outlined in the IEP, developed by the therapy team. Assist monitoring the children's progress, this may include daily notes and monthly review reports. Provide prompting and assist children with daily living skills, such as feeding, cleanliness, dressing, toileting, etc.) Ensure the safety of the student while in the centre Report any incidents in line with centre policies Perform routine duties as required by class leaders and/or therapist

SECONDARY DUTIES



Tidying up, cleaning and hygienic upkeep of the therapy rooms, classrooms, and centre facilities Maintaining an accurate cleaning log Compliance with the Health & Safety practices of the centre Work safely and being mindful of hazards to the children and other staff Check and clean all equipment after use Safely store resources and equipment in the designated areas Inform your supervisor of low stock levels of materials and equipment for which you are responsible Keep chemicals, cleaning materials, and equipment storage areas in a safe, clean and tidy condition Provide front desk cover, when required Any other related duties, as directed by your HOD
