ibis World Trade Centre is looking for an experienced F&B Waiter/Waitress who will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests dining in the hotel's restaurant or bar. They take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction by attending to their needs promptly and professionally.

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages to guests and ensure orders are accurate and timely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
• Assist in setting up dining rooms or banquet halls for events.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to guests.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
• Cash handling and processing payments from guests.
• Operating and maintaining point-of-sale systems.
• Assisting in inventory management and restocking supplies.
• Participating in training programs and continuous learning opportunities.
• Assisting in planning and executing special events or promotions.
• Providing input and feedback on menu selections and customer preferences.
• Stay informed about menu changes, specials, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
• Participating in meetings and briefings with management and colleagues.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Adhering to grooming and dress code standards.
• Assisting in training new team members.
• Collaborating with other departments such as kitchen staff, housekeeping, and front desk to ensure seamless guest experience.
• Assist with closing duties, including cleaning and restocking service areas, at the end of the shift.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for guests and staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus and some basic culinary skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Customer-focused and service-oriented attitude.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift heavy trays.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic math skills for processing payments accurately
