The Family Therapist provides specialized psychological and educational services to families and loved ones of individuals undergoing addiction treatment and other psychological challenges. This role focuses on strengthening family systems, facilitating recovery within relationships, and supporting long-term recovery through structured family therapy sessions, psychoeducation, and specialized workshops. The therapist works across various settings, engages families in the recovery process, and delivers targeted interventions for couples and families facing deeply rooted relational challenges.
Main Responsibilities':
Provide structured family therapy sessions for families and couples facing complex relational issues.
Deliver psychoeducational sessions to enhance families' understanding of addiction stages, recovery, and relapse prevention.
Design and implement monthly workshops to strengthen communication skills, boundary setting, and healthy support strategies. Facilitate family integration into the treatment plan.
Provide specialized marital counseling in cases where relationships are directly affected by substance use.
Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, and counselors to ensure integrated therapeutic care.
Prepare and distribute educational and awareness materials related to family recovery and long-term support skills.
Participate in internal and external awareness activities focused on supporting families and reducing the stigma of addiction.
Stay updated on evidence-based practices in family systems therapy and addiction-informed care.
Conduct family assessments to analyze relational dynamics, emotional patterns, and family support systems.
