The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic device production, familiar with plastic injection molding machines, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and innovation. You will oversee the end-to-end factory operations--from planning and production to quality control and safety--ensuring our facility meets production targets while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the smart meter production facility, ensuring output meets quality, volume, and cost targets.
Develop and execute production schedules in coordination with demand planning and supply chain teams.
Lead and supervise production, quality assurance, maintenance, and warehouse teams to achieve performance goals.
Optimize manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing principles and digital tools (e.g., MES, ERP systems).
Ensure strict adherence to ISO standards, industry-specific compliance (e.g., MID, IEC), and customer requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate production reporting and metrics (OEE, yield, scrap rates, etc.) for data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and product teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and process scaling.
Oversee factory budget, resource planning, and workforce development strategies.
Ensure workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (Master's or MBA a plus).
5+ years of experience in managing electronics or smart device manufacturing operations, ideally in smart metering, IoT, or related sectors.
Deep understanding of PCB assembly, test systems, calibration, and final product assembly
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficient in production planning and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, electronics manufacturing environment.
Involves hands-on work on the production floor.
May require extended hours during peak production or project rollouts.
