To ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all production and utility equipment within the steel fabrication factory by planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance activities for machines, tools, and facility systems.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for CNC bending, cutting, punching, welding, and laser cutting machines.
Supervise troubleshooting, repair, and overhauling of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ensure all machines operate at optimal performance with minimal downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
2. Team Supervision & Training
Lead, guide, and train maintenance technicians, electricians, and fitters.
Assign daily maintenance tasks and monitor their completion.
Conduct technical training for maintenance staff on safe and efficient machine servicing.
3. Spare Parts & Inventory Control
Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are always in stock.
Evaluate suppliers and coordinate with the procurement team for maintenance-related purchases.
Control maintenance costs and monitor budget performance.
4. Equipment Calibration & Upgrades
Plan and oversee calibration and alignment of CNC machines and laser systems.
Coordinate with machine manufacturers for software updates and major repairs.
Propose and implement technical improvements for energy efficiency and productivity enhancement.
5. Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with factory safety standards and maintenance procedures.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards.
Support the HSE department in implementing lockout/tagout procedures and preventive safety actions.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, service contracts, and warranty documentation.
Generate monthly maintenance reports and performance indicators (downtime rate, MTBF, MTTR).
Report critical breakdowns immediately to factory management.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 8-10 years of maintenance experience in a steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing plant.
Strong knowledge of CNC machine maintenance (press brakes, laser cutters, plasma cutters, punching machines).
Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
Experience with maintenance software (CMMS) is an advantage.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
Factory-based role with exposure to fabrication, welding, and heavy machinery operations.
May require after-hours availability for emergency repairs.
