Job Description

To control and monitor process management systems throughout EK Engineering including the Building Management System [BMS], Paint Hangar Environment Control system [PHECS], Energy Management and control system [EMCS],Generator Control system[GCS],Fire Alarm and Detection System [FADS],Computerised Maintenance Management System[CMMS] and the District Chilled Water Production Management Systems [CMS]. To ensure all control systems are properly maintained and working effectively and efficiently.

Job Outline:
- Carry out thorough system surveys of all Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), electrical equipment and control systems in entire facility, assigning rectification tasks where required to ensure all equipment is available and will perform as required.
- Provide training and technical support for the Paint Hall operation staff [Manager Aircraft Appearance\'s staff] and facility maintenance staff on the Paint Hangar Control Systems, including the various interfaced equipment and procedures to adopt in case of system failures, when it may be necessary to change control from auto to manual, to ensure a safe environment and protect the paint process.
- Control and monitor the various facility systems and processes during the aircraft painting process to ensure the strict safety and environmental conditions required for painting aircraft are continually met. Proactively identify areas of concern and give instructions to the responsible technical staff on required actions to prevent disruption to, or having to abort, the paint process.
- Oversee all the maintenance activity and make sure it is done efficiently and effectively according to company standards.Continously give ideas to management to improve the process in maintenance.Ensure workplace safety is well implemented and make sure it is practised efficiently.
- Make necessary changes in control system program configurations to ensure hangar conditions, such as air flow parameters, ambient conditions and control set points match particular aircraft types being painted as and when required.
- Continually monitor utility usage in key areas throughout EK Engineering. Identify opportunities, study and recommend processes to control utility consumption and put in place systems to achieve energy conservation through time scheduling and other control initiatives.
- Assist and advise EK Engg Facilities management on issues related to HVAC, Building Management Systems and control systems where redesign may be required in existing and new installations/projects to enhance the systems performance.
- Control the process of inspection and calibration of temperature, Humidity and atmospheric measuring and recording devices in entire facility to meet mandatory aviation requirements.
- Inspect and prepare deficiency lists for new control system installations and liaise with external contractors when interfacing with existing systems to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Maintain service level agreements for all the equipments and ensure it is renewed on time. Contiously look for improvements in the scope and reduce cost to the company.

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) :

Knowledge/skills:
- Degree In Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation and Electronic Engineering
- Practical work experience in the field of building services or process control systems within a large industrial environment.
- Proven track record of independently maintaining and repairing low voltage control systems
- Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of extra low voltage control systems and PLC
- Must be able to read, write and communicate proficiently in English
- Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel and Access
