Facility Engineer (Delta Residence)
Job Summary:
The Facility Engineer at Delta Residence is a hands-on technical expert responsible for the operational integrity, repair, and preventive maintenance of the physical plant and building systems. This role executes the technical tasks required to maintain a high-functioning residential environment, working under the direction of the Facility Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-On Maintenance & Repairs:
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, fixtures, and equipment within apartments and common areas.
• Conduct routine tasks such as filter changes, belt replacements, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment rooms.
• System Monitoring:
• Monitor building automation systems (BAS) for HVAC and other critical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform daily rounds to inspect equipment, check pressures, temperatures, and log readings.
• Emergency Response:
• Serve as a first responder to facility emergencies, such as power outages, water leaks, and HVAC failures, during and outside of normal business hours.
• Implement immediate corrective actions to minimize damage and disruption to residents.
• Technical Support:
• Assist the Facility Manager in evaluating the condition of equipment and planning for upgrades or replacements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop and equipment rooms.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with life safety system inspections and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is highly desirable.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge in two or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or appliance repair.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and operation manuals.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• EPA Universal Certification for HVAC work is a significant plus.
