Are you Mission Ready? This job is for you! At our Dubai MRO Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft systems. As part of our planned continued expansion we require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with customers. An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Engineer for our Dubai MRO campus with our Facilities Department. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a diverse team. Job Duties:
- Evaluating and repairing issues as they arise and communicating with Supervisors when outsourcing is necessary.
- Manage daily activity of facility service i.e. permits, work orders, follow up work, etc.
- Act as area owner for site infrastructure including roads, bunds, drains and cladding.
- Manage close-out of customer requests for minor facility repairs or upgrades.
- Proactively audit site facility standards and drive improvements
- Actively support waste reduction and manage remediation works required to close out engineering issues.
- Promote, monitor and suggest improvements to the site safety, engineering and quality standards.
- Actively support the planning, organization and implementation of maintenance tasks including shutdown periods
- Assist in the development/updating and implementation of the site facilities master plan
- Assist in the negotiation of facility-related service contracts, integrate them into the maintenance schedules and supervise their operation accordance with the business needs
- Participate in cross-functional and inter-site teams as required.
- Project manage facility related projects outside of the scope of the C&PE team
- Fulfils a variety of other, ad hoc, responsibilities that are assigned to him/her and that are consistent with his/her role
- To diagnose faults and diligently undertake all core and other trade works as instructed, ensuring that the quality of work meets the highest standards and that targets are achieved.
- Maintain tools, plant and equipment in a clean and workable condition.
- Requisitioning the necessary supplies, equipment and tools, monitoring inventory and working within a budget.
- Keeping maintenance schedules and records up to date.
- Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts and other building systems.
- Monitoring of Energy consumption (water and Electricity)
- Overseeing contractors and other workers who are unfamiliar with a building\xe2\x80\x99s layout.
- Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Ad hoc tasks, as required or as assigned.
- Degree or High School Diploma required.
- Aerospace industry experience (minimum 3 years), preferably in an MRO.
- Mechanical / electrical background & aptitude.
- Experience with calibration equipment, blueprints, schematics, and precision measuring equipment preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and a willingness to assist other departments as necessary.
- Past aerospace industry experience preferred.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) and other repair manuals and technical data.
- Ability to learn on the job.
- Fluent in English.
