AtkinsRealis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facade Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facade systems, with proven experience in site operations, installation supervision, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. This role is critical to ensuring facade works are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all facade-related site activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of facade systems.
• Review and approve facade shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure proper installation and workmanship.
• Resolve technical issues on-site and provide engineering solutions in real-time.
• Monitor progress and report on facade installation milestones and potential risks.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, sustainability standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, architects, and structural engineers to integrate facade systems with the overall building envelope.
• Lead facade testing and commissioning activities, including water and air infiltration tests, thermal performance, and structural integrity.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in facade engineering, with at least 5 years in site operations in the UAE or GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of facade systems including curtain walls, cladding, glazing, and aluminum systems.
• Familiarity with international facade standards and testing protocols.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience working with multinational engineering consultancies or contractors.
• Membership in professional bodies such as SFE, CWCT, or similar.

• PMP or similar project management certification is advantageous.
