Job Description

As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating components to exact specifications. Must be proficient in welding techniques and have a good understanding of engineering drawings. Must be able to work to tight deadlines and follow health and safety regulations.

Welder Fabricator Duties

Operating welding equipment to join metal components Read blueprints and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements Fabricating and repairing metal components and structures Inspecting finished welds to determine structural soundness Using a variety of welding techniques, including tungsten inert gas (TIG), metal inert gas (MIG) and arc welding Using hand tools and grinding equipment to prepare material for welding Carrying out routine maintenance on welding equipment
Welder Fabricator Requirements

Ability to interpret engineering drawings Knowledge of welding techniques Ability to operate welding and fabricating machinery Ability to use hand tools Ability to read and interpret measuring devices
Welder Fabricator Skills

Welding Fabrication Reading and interpreting engineering drawings MIG, TIG and Arc welding Use of various hand tools and machining equipment
Welder Fabricator Personal Traits

Good manual dexterity Good problem-solving skills Ability to work independently Ability to interpret technical drawings
