Job Description

Overview:

As a Steel Structure Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing steel structures and components. Your role involves interpreting engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy in measurements, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout the fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Measure and cut steel components using various tools and machinery. Weld, bolt, or rivet steel parts together to fabricate structures. Ensure accurate alignment and fit of fabricated parts. Conduct quality inspections to verify conformance to specifications and standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other team members to ensure project deadlines are met. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Steel Structure Fabricator or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, tools, and equipment. Ability to operate machinery such as saws, drills, grinders, and welding equipment. Familiarity with welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG) and techniques. Attention to detail and precision in measurements and assembly. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. Certification or training in welding and steel fabrication is preferred. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
