Job Description
The Fabrication Officer is responsible for overseeing daily fabrication activities, ensuring production targets are met with optimal efficiency and quality. The role requires leadership in managing shop-floor personnel, coordinating with the production planning team, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring timely completion of jobs as per design specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of fabrication workers, welders, machine operators, and helpers. Ensure daily production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Review fabrication drawings
, job orders, and work schedules to determine work priorities. Ensure efficient utilization of raw materials, machines, and manpower. Monitor performance and provide guidance and training to shop-floor staff. Implement and enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards. Maintain inventory of tools, consumables, and raw materials needed for fabrication. Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure safety compliance at all times. Coordinate with the QA/QC department for inspections and non-conformity resolution. Prepare and submit daily and weekly production reports to management. Recommend and implement process improvements for productivity and cost-efficiency.Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in
metal fabrication,
preferably in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of fabrication processes includingcutting, bending, welding, punching, and assembly.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Hands-on experience with fabrication machinery and tools. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.Job Type: Full-time
