to oversee and coordinate all fabrication-related activities for structural steel projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring precision, productivity, and quality throughout the fabrication process, from material preparation to final assembly and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
Review fabrication and GA drawings to ensure accuracy before production.
Plan, monitor, and control all shop fabrication activities in coordination with the production manager.
Supervise cutting, fit-up, welding, and assembly works according to approved procedures.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Coordinate with QA/QC and design teams to resolve drawing or dimensional issues.
Prepare and review fabrication schedules, cutting lists, and material take-offs.
Monitor manpower productivity and allocate resources efficiently.
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with international welding and fabrication standards.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely material availability and dispatch to sites.
Report fabrication progress and bottlenecks to management on a daily/weekly basis.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of experience in
Structural Steel / PEB / Heavy Steel Fabrication
.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, steel grades, and fabrication tolerances.
Hands-on experience with fabrication drawings, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
