Job Description

Summary:
  • Propulsion Systems (Engines) Instructors will train foreign military students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to produce qualified technicians in their assigned specialties who are able to maintain aircraft systems, subsystems, support equipment, and/or provide logistics support and expertise with little or no supervision.


Training shall provide students specialty Upgrade Training to elevate skills from 3-level to 5-level, 5-level to 7-level on F-15SA aircraft, Client engines, and associated support services.



Instruct on the following Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Removes, installs, inspects, repairs, and modifies engines, engine modules and components.
  • Disassembles and assembles engines adhering to prescribed procedures.
  • Prepares engines for installation, storage, or transportation.
  • Installs and removes engines on test stands, and operates, evaluates, and performs test stand functions on engines. Tests components using bench mockups and test equipment.
  • Accomplishes operator maintenance on test stands. Inspects and maintains engine ground SE. Operates and performs operator inspections on related SE. Selects, uses, and cares for special tools, hand tools, and test equipment.
  • Uses and disposes of hazardous waste and materials.
  • Analyzes, interprets, and recommends maintenance actions based on unscheduled engine removals and engine monitoring system data.
  • Coordinates with the base engine manager to analyze scheduled engine removals; recommends forecast actions to the weekly or monthly maintenance schedules.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.


Required educational/skills background:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum five (5) years' previous experience in engine maintenance and a 7-level craftsman experience level in propulsion systems.
3. Client-F110 experience required and instructor experience highly desired.



Physical Demands:
This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching and climbing. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions, including the F-15 cockpit. Normal color/depth perception and no record of emotional instability are required.



Work Environment (ADA):
May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flightline that may be noisy at times. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud at times
