Our client is one of the leading public entities within the Energy, Oil & Gas and Utilities space. They are currently looking to hire a Senior Manager of External Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
The role reports to the VP / Director of corporate communications and will be responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of external communications, including public relations, external events, and internal publications.
Develop and implement comprehensive external communication strategies aligned with the company\'s goals and objectives.
Manage all aspects of public relations activities, including media relations, press releases, media interviews, and crisis communications.
Plan and execute external events, such as conferences, trade shows, and community engagement programs, to enhance the company\'s reputation and brand awareness.
Oversee the creation and production of various internal publications, including annual reports, ESG reports, brochures, newsletters, and other marketing collateral.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in external communications, preferably within the utility or energy or oil & gas sector.
Strong command of the English language, with exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Proven track record of successfully managing external communications, including PR campaigns, events, and internal publications.
Extensive experience working with leading agencies or in-house communication roles, demonstrating the ability to drive impactful strategies and deliver results.
Deep understanding of public relations practices, media relations, and crisis communications management.
