Job Description

This is an entry level position into the Procurement & Supply Chain Team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure effective, efficient, and cohesive operational supply chain support to internal stakeholders and our wider supply chain partners. You will need to develop and maintain high level working relationships with appropriate personnel at all levels both internally and externally and ensure a consistent supply chain management message is communicated to suppliers. Always, building strong vendor relationships to the advantage and benefits of the company, liaise with other departments to ensure high priority items are prioritized during weekly tasks

Core Duties:

Using system generated reports for expediting of all purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery against agreed delivery dates and to meet operational requirements.

Supporting goods receiving team to coordinate with vendors in the event of issues then communicate this to the vendors for resolution.

Communicating to all relevant internal stakeholder's weekly status updates on open purchase orders by issuing weekly expediting reports

Escalate any delivery delays to the relevant internal stakeholder that will impact project/operational timeline

Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure any queries that stop goods receipting being completed are actioned and resolved.

Compliance:

Maintain strict confidentiality of all procurement information within the organization.

Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships

HSEQ and regulatory compliance:

Follow all COMPANY, work site and Regulator procedures at all times.

Ensure safe working practices always.

Address any HSEQ concerns and take appropriate actions in conjunction with COMPANY procedures.

Adherence to country specific employment law stipulated by UAE Ministry of labor and immigration rules.

Requirements

Qualification(s) & Training:

Secondary academic qualifications/ Diploma or Bachelor degree in any discipline

Certified Purchasing Professional (P) or working towards Chartered Institute Purchasing & Supply or Equivalent accreditation.

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years of UAE working experience in a Purchasing/Supply Chain Function

Experience within the oil and gas, energy industries in UAE/ Middle East or Engineering based environment

Hands on experience with Material Requirements Planning or Enterprise Resource Planning Software

Have a strong commitment and be self-motivated to develop and learn.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:

Good communication skill in English (written and verbal)

Organized with the ability to organize own workload and ability to meet deadlines

Dynamic and effective team player

Proactive & able to work on own initiative

Good administrative skills

Proficient use in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Dedicated to promoting a positive image of the company
