Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and dynamic Executive Sous Chef to join our leadership team. This is a pivotal role that requires a passion for culinary excellence, a proven track record in multi-venue management, and the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of culinary professionals. The Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, driving menu innovation, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and consistency, and contributing to the overall success and reputation of our dining concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Management:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in leading, mentoring, and motivating the culinary teams across multiple venues.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.
  • Oversee staff training and development, ensuring skills are continuously upgraded.
  • Manage staffing levels, schedules, and productivity to meet operational needs.
Kitchen Operations:
  • Ensure all kitchen operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to guarantee consistency and excellence across all dishes.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste management.
  • Uphold and enforce the highest standards of health, safety, and sanitation (HACCP) in all kitchens.
Culinary Excellence & Innovation:
  • Support the development and execution of innovative menus that align with each venue's concept and market trends.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on all food items before they leave the kitchen.
  • Drive creativity in food presentation and recipe development.
  • Maintain detailed and standardized recipes for all menu items.
Financial Performance:
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to manage food costs, minimize waste, and achieve budgetary goals.
  • Assist in monitoring kitchen expenses and implementing cost-control measures without compromising quality.
Collaboration:
  • Collaborate effectively with the FOH management, procurement, and marketing teams to ensure a seamless guest experience and successful promotional activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 2-3 years in a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef role within a high-volume, multi-concept, or premium restaurant group.
  • Extensive experience in diverse cuisines and a proven ability to manage multiple kitchen teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in food costing, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and kitchen safety procedures.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, passionate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
