Job Description

StrategicSupport the execution of KHDA's information security initiatives aligned with Dubai Government Cybersecurity Standards. Provide input into IT risk assessments and compliance reviews to support organizational security strategy. Contribute to cybersecurity awareness activities by preparing materials and explaining complex risks in a clear and practical way. Evaluate risks and escalate incidents that may impact multiple functions such as HR, Finance, and Student Data systems. Assist in analyzing industry cyber risk trends and contribute insights to align KHDA's practices with Dubai Government benchmarks.

Operational

Monitor and analyze information systems, networks, and applications using multiple sources of security information (logs, alerts, external threat feeds).

Identify, log, document, and escalate cybersecurity incidents as per the incident management process, recommending appropriate actions. Support vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance checks, including prioritization of risks based on severity. Manage user access requests, ensuring segregation of duties and alignment with access control policies. Maintain and validate security logs, records, and inventories of IT systems and user access rights, highlighting anomalies to management. Assist in IT and security audits, ensuring readiness of documentation and addressing findings with corrective actions. Collaborate with IT colleagues and related departments to apply security updates, endpoint protection, and antivirus monitoring across systems. Support the implementation of data protection measures across KHDA's sub-functions, including HR, Finance, and Student Services systems. Participate in information security awareness campaigns, translating complex cybersecurity risks into clear messages for non-technical staff. Apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to incident response, backup, and recovery, while recommending improvements where necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. UAE Nationals (Emiratization priority).

Fresh graduates with cybersecurity internships or project experience are encouraged.
