Job Description

A unique opportunity exists for an accomplished technology leader to join a mission-focused entity at the forefront of research, education, and development. We are seeking an Executive Director of Information Technology to shape and execute enterprise-wide IT strategy and lead high-impact digital initiatives across a multi-entity environment.
Strategy & Planning

• Define and lead the organization's IT strategy, aligned with long-term strategic goals.
• Provide insight on emerging technologies and opportunities for innovation.
• Establish and drive system-wide IT frameworks, policies, and governance.

Technology Infrastructure & Operations

• Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and cybersecurity.
• Lead the design and integration of scalable, secure technology platforms.
• Ensure availability, performance, and compliance across all IT systems.

Leadership & Delivery

• Manage a multidisciplinary IT team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Deliver key digital projects with strong governance, risk management, and change control.
• Continuously review IT operations against KPIs and drive ongoing improvements.

Vendor & Budget Management

• Build strategic partnerships with technology vendors and service providers.
• Oversee contract negotiation, service delivery, and performance management.
• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost optimization and resource alignment.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Extensive senior-level experience leading IT strategy and operations in complex organizations.
• Deep technical knowledge across infrastructure, cloud, networks, data, and cybersecurity.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver enterprise-wide transformation.
• Strong business acumen with a track record of aligning IT initiatives to strategic goals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile is preferred.
• Familiarity with compliance, data protection, and regulatory standards.
