An opportunity has arisen for an Executive Butler to join our Rooms department at Jumeirah beach Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
  • Complete all individual personalised check ins and check outs.
  • Anticipate customer needs and expectations correctly, including those with special needs, and provide appropriate products, services, or information.
  • Recognize customer dissatisfaction promptly and take action to resolve the situation according to individual level of responsibility and complaint procedures.
  • Take and process orders accurately and maintain good knowledge of menu items and food & beverage services to answer guests inquires thoroughly.
  • Perform Front Desk Cashiering duties.
  • Completing Registration cards & Follow ups on the guest payments.
  • Answering and distributing all Telephonic/Fax or Emails of in-house guest or incoming guests.
  • Assist Other Hotel Front Office Operation (Club Executive/Premium Leisure/Concierge/Telephones/Business Centre/Data Entry etc) whenever required.
  • Adhere to applicable policies and step by step procedures, particularly pertaining to payments, cash Handling and credit policies.
  • Attend trainings as per the departmental training plan.
  • Work to achieve the departments objectives to achieve targets and KPI’s (Sirius/ Up selling etc.)
  • Carries out guest registration, cashiering, and other administrative tasks as per service standards and directions, maintaining seamless interaction with guests to facilitate guest recognition.
  • Maintain operating and cleanliness of the Butler Pantry & the Reception Desk on assigned respective floor to handle that each area is correctly stocked & operationally always prepared according to set service standards.
  • Prepare and set tables and/or trays according to property standard SOPs, Outlet Requirements and as per meal period and customer requirements to maintain an organized and professional atmosphere.
  • Service of In-room/suite breakfast/meals as requested to serve and clear food & drinks efficiently, punctually, and as per the set service standards.
  • Always maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, report for duty punctually wearing correct uniform to provide a courteous and professional service to Jumeirah guest and internal customers as well.
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
  • Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, and provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence.

About you:
  • At least 3 years of experience within the international luxury hospitality industry Secondary education
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of front office applications (Opera).
  • Desirable: Other language (Russian, German, French, Japanese)
  • Outgoing personality with ability to communicate fluently with guests and colleagues.
  • Must possess high levels of integrity, intelligence, maturity in outlook and authenticity
  • Strong Communication Skills, able to communicate with VVIP guests, Diplomats and Royalties
  • Be able to talk and converse with guests with intelligence and ease
  • Passion and ability to stimulate ideas and execute them to materialization in best interest of the hotel, guests and colleagues
  • Must be full of enthusiasm
  • Ability to work on weekends and Night Shifts
  • Basic knowledge of food service, food safety and hygiene.
