About The Job

Protect assets by ensuring strict adherence to internal control procedures and regulations. Verify the accuracy of assets and liabilities by comparing them to supporting documentation. Examine records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to ensure compliance with established internal control procedures. Document audit tests and findings by completing audit workpapers. Prepare and present a final report of audit findings and discuss these with auditees. Compile special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operational data and trends. Assess the effectiveness of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires. Maintain internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires. Recommend new policies and procedures to enhance internal controls. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local security legal requirements. Stay informed of new and existing security legislation, enforce adherence, and advise management on necessary actions. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
