Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators to dig, move, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials.
Follow site plans and instructions from the site supervisor or foreman.
Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Perform minor maintenance and report major repairs or issues to maintenance staff.
Load and unload materials from trucks or other equipment.
Ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently to meet project deadlines.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Comply with safety standards and environmental regulations at all times.
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and job specifications (if required).
Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure coordinated efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment.
Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license.
Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures.
Ability to work in physically demanding and outdoor environments.
Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
