We are seeking an Event Coordinator to support the planning and execution of corporate events for a new and growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating conferences, gala dinners, product launches, and other corporate events for our clients. This role is fast-paced and requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and coordinating all aspects of corporate events, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, transportation, accommodations, entertainment, decoration and logistics.
Support the development of event timelines and schedules, and communicate these to all stakeholders, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Support the management of event budgets, including tracking expenses and assisting in negotiating contracts with vendors.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all event requirements are met.
Communicate with attendees and speakers before, during, and after the event to ensure a positive experience.
Assist in monitoring and reporting on event metrics, including attendance and feedback, to improve future events.
Requirements:
At least 2 years in event planning and coordination, preferably in a support role for corporate events.
Bachelor\'s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
