The EV Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving B2B growth in IPT's Electric Vehicle (EV) division. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and managing the full sales cycle, while leveraging strong technical knowledge of EV technologies and charging infrastructure. The role requires a results-driven professional with proven B2B sales expertise and technical acumen in the EV or clean energy sector.
Business Development
Identify and engage potential corporate clients (fleet operators, logistics firms, government entities, real estate developers, etc.) to promote EV solutions and infrastructure.
Sales Strategy & Growth
Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
Structure business deals and partnership models to maximize profitability and long-term growth.
Client & Account Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Manage key accounts and serve as the main point of contact for technical and commercial discussions.
Technical & Solution Consulting
Provide technical expertise on EV offerings, including vehicles, charging solutions, and infrastructure setup.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and propose tailored EV solutions for clients.
Proposals & Presentations
Prepare and deliver customized sales pitches, proposals, tenders, and technical documentation.
Lead contract negotiations in coordination with management and legal teams.
Market Intelligence
Stay informed on EV industry trends, competitor activities, regulations, and emerging technologies.
Recommend strategies for market entry, positioning, and product development.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with operations, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
Provide client feedback to internal teams to improve offerings and customer experience.
Reporting
Maintain accurate sales pipeline and client activity records using CRM tools.
Regularly report progress, forecasts, and insights to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
5 to 7 years of relevant B2B sales experience, preferably in automotive, energy, or EV sectors
Experience in contract negotiations and managing government relations.
