Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented EV Charger Technical Product Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical performance, software integration, and product lifecycle of EV charging systems. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software components of AC and DC chargers, along with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, configuration, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise in the deployment, operation, and maintenance of EV charging systems (AC/DC). Operate and manage the EV charger software platforms, including configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics. Handle software implementation and integration, ensuring chargers are correctly commissioned and connected to the backend system. Synchronize payment gateways with EV charger software applications, ensuring seamless transaction flow and system reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to EV charging equipment. Possess deep knowledge of charger components, including internal electronics, communication modules, and user interface systems. Act as the technical liaison between engineering, sales, procurement, and support teams. Work with suppliers and R&D to evaluate new EV charging technologies, firmware, and hardware upgrades. Support pre-sales and post-sales processes, including customer site assessments and product demos. Ensure chargers meet international safety and communication standards (OCPP, IEC, etc.). Assist in inventory control, technical inspections, and quality evaluations of delivered chargers. Maintain technical documentation, logs, troubleshooting reports, and resolution tracking.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in a technical engineering role, preferably in EV charging systems or power electronics. Strong understanding of OCPP protocols, networking, and charger communication architecture. Hands-on experience operating EV charger software and platforms (AC and DC). Experience with payment gateway synchronization and backend system integration. Proficient in software implementation and diagnostics for EV chargers. In-depth knowledge of EV charger components and advanced troubleshooting techniques. Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and travel to customer sites if required.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with energy management systems or smart grid platforms. Familiarity with UAE/local EV infrastructure regulations. Knowledge of ticketing systems, CRMs, or remote diagnostics tools.
