Fairplatz Design LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator with experience in the exhibitions, events, and fit-out industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with internal teams, and liaising with vendors to ensure competitive and comprehensive pricing for custom-built stands, pavilions, and temporary structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for exhibition stands, pavilions, displays, and temporary structures based on design specifications and client briefs

Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and project documentation

Coordinate with the design, production, and procurement teams for accurate material and pricing information

Obtain and analyze quotations from vendors and subcontractors (fabrication, AV, graphics, logistics, etc.)

Conduct value engineering to optimize costs without compromising quality

Submit estimates in line with project timelines and client budgets

Maintain an updated database of materials, labor rates, and supplier pricing

Assist in preparing bid proposals, project budgets, and tender documents

Collaborate with the sales and client service teams to clarify scope and pricing

Conduct site visits as required to assess conditions, verify measurements, and better inform cost estimates

Monitor actual project costs against estimates for ongoing process improvement

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating for exhibitions, events, or interior fit-out projects

Strong understanding of construction and fabrication processes in the events industry

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD and estimating software is a plus

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Willingness to conduct site visits as part of the role
