Job Description
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE: INTERIOR FIT OUT / JOINERY PROJECT experience in UAE is a MUST.
- Assisting in establishing a client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements.
- Preparing bills of quantities by means of coordinating with all related department, assisting in costing, pricing and analysis of direct and indirect cost for the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) items.
- Scrutinize, review of tender drawings/documents for discrepancies, additional BOQ items/scope and incorporating within the tender offer, liaise with consultants regarding ambiguities in contract work scope and seek clarifications.
- Visit the sites as and when required to take measurements and monitor progress. Inspect site condition, attend clarification and negotiation meetings with owners/ clients.
- Evaluate and compare quotations received at bid stage.
- Analyze and recommend subcontract payments based on actual progress, valuing completed work and issuing payment requests to finance.
- Understand and assess the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Check and review the site requisitions and compare them with the approved BOQ.
- Submit and negotiate contract variations, additional works, snags and maintenance orders.
- Updating the Bill of material based on changes
- Filing the documents for future reference
- Preparing Document Log sheet
- Revising the BOM after client\xe2\x80\x99s variation approval
- Preparing the scope of work for the subjected variation
- Preparing the terms and conditions based on management instructions
- Experienced in Fit-out projects is a MUST.
- Budgeting, cash flow, including regular updates.
- Monthly and interim payments certification.
- Monitoring monthly cost reports including budgets, certified to date, paid to date, variations approved, variations in process, variation anticipated, etc.
- Payment tracking and history inventory management & control.
- Prepare requirements for insurances and bonds, review for acceptances and safe-keeping.
- Commercial documentation management and control.
- Take off quantities of materials from AutoCAD drawings, if available.
- Request and follow-up quotations from suppliers for the specified materials.
- Contracts safe keeping and renewals management of any bonds, insurances, professional indemnity, etc.
- Works closely with commercial teams of employed Consultants, Contractors & Sub Contractors and suppliers and integrates their work after his validation into overall commercial success.
- Quantity Surveyor: 5 years (Required).
- Interior Fit Out: 5 years (Required).
- QS or civil engineering degree background.
- Project documentation.
- Sound knowledge with AutoCAD, MS Office.
- Good knowledge of English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
