Job Description

An Estimator is a professional who analyzes project requirements, plans, and specifications to determine the estimated cost of a project, product, or service. This involves researching costs, obtaining quotes from vendors, and collaborating with various teams to create a comprehensive budget. Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis:

Evaluating project scope, plans, and specifications to identify all cost elements, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

Quote & Vendor Management:

Researching prices, obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and negotiating favorable terms.

Budget Creation:

Developing detailed cost estimates, including direct and indirect costs, and presenting them to project managers, senior management, or clients.

Proposal Support:

Assisting the sales team with proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness of cost estimates.

Project Monitoring:

Tracking actual costs against the estimated budget throughout the project lifecycle, identifying variances, and suggesting corrective actions.

Documentation:

Preparing detailed reports, cost breakdowns, and bid documents for internal and external use.
Skills & Qualifications:

Analytical Skills:

Strong ability to analyze complex information, identify cost drivers, and evaluate risk.

Mathematical Proficiency:

Proficiency in calculations, cost estimation, and financial analysis.

Communication Skills:

Effective written and verbal communication skills for presenting estimates, collaborating with teams, and negotiating with vendors.

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of relevant industry standards, building codes, and construction processes.

Attention to Detail:

Ability to meticulously track costs, identify errors, and ensure accuracy in estimates.

Software Proficiency:

Familiarity with estimating software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.

Experience:

Prior experience in a relevant field (e.g., construction, manufacturing) is often required.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
