Job Purpose:

To prepare accurate cost estimates and technical submittals for portacabin and modular prefabricated building projects. The role requires strong coordination with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure all proposals and submittals meet client requirements and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:Estimation:

Study project tender documents including drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQ). Prepare detailed cost estimates for portacabin projects including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Request and evaluate vendor quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Analyze project risks and include appropriate contingencies in estimates. Coordinate with procurement to maintain updated cost data and price lists. Prepare value engineering options to optimize cost efficiency.

Technical Submittals:

Prepare technical and material submittals for client and consultant approval in line with project specifications. Create and compile method statements, shop drawings, datasheets, compliance statements, and certifications. Coordinate with design and engineering teams for drawing finalization. Ensure submittals are submitted on time and follow up on client/consultant feedback and approval. Maintain records of all submittals and revisions for project documentation.

Project Coordination:

Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as needed. Liaise with project and production teams for clarifications and inputs. Support business development and sales teams with technical input for quotations and proposals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Minimum 3 years' experience in estimating and technical submittals, preferably in portacabins or modular buildings. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and modular/prefab systems. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in the UAE or GCC market. Knowledge of local authority requirements and standards. Familiar with project tendering processes and contract documentation.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
