Job Description

The Estimator for Tiles and Sanitary Ware plays a crucial role in the construction and building industry, particularly in the procurement and estimation phases of projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of materials, costs, and project specifications. The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for evaluating project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and ensuring that all materials meet the necessary standards and specifications. This role is vital for maintaining the financial health of projects and ensuring that they are completed within budget and on time.

Responsibilities:

Analyze project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for tiles and sanitary ware. Collaborate with project managers and architects to understand project scope and material needs. Research and source suppliers for tiles and sanitary ware, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost breakdowns for tender submissions. Review and assess subcontractor quotes and proposals for accuracy and completeness. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and pricing for tiles and sanitary ware. Assist in the negotiation process with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. Provide support during the project execution phase by monitoring costs and advising on budget adjustments. Prepare and present estimation reports to management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards in all estimation processes.

Preferred Candidate:

Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience in the construction industry, particularly with tiles and sanitary ware. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations. Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
