Estimator / Procurement Specialist

who will combine two key roles: preparing cost estimations for Quotations/Pricelists and managing the procurement of materials and services of the best quality at the most competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Quotations:

Analyze project documentation, drawings, and specifications to calculate the cost of materials, labor, and other resources; prepare accurate estimates for quotations and pricelists.

Purchasing & Procurement:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and secure contracts for the supply of materials and services under the best possible terms.

Supplier Management:

Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, products, and pricing structures.

Cost Analysis:

Provide detailed cost breakdowns for project proposals, bids, and budgeting.

Market Monitoring:

Stay updated on market trends and conditions to make informed procurement decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Coordination:

Collaborate with the sales department, engineers, and project managers to ensure purchases meet project schedules and requirements.

Compliance:

Ensure that all procurement activities comply with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and delivery deadlines.

Reporting:

Prepare regular reports for management on project costs, procurement efficiency, and supplier performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Analytical skills:

Ability to analyze data, estimate costs, and make informed decisions.

Communication skills:

Strong verbal and written communication for negotiations and cross-team coordination.

Negotiation skills:

Ability to secure favorable pricing and terms with suppliers.

Attention to detail:

Accuracy in preparing estimates and managing procurement processes.

Technical literacy:

Familiarity with estimation software, spreadsheets, and construction/manufacturing documentation.

Industry knowledge:

Understanding of construction, manufacturing, or engineering sectors.

Multitasking:

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
