Estimator - Metal Fabrication Projects (Interior & Exterior)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented

Estimator

to analyze project drawings and specifications to accurately calculate material, labor, and fabrication costs. You will play a vital role in securing new projects by submitting competitive and technically accurate quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

Review architectural and fabrication drawings to understand project scope

Prepare cost estimates for structural and decorative metal works (MS, SS, aluminum, brass)

Coordinate with procurement to obtain updated material costs

Calculate material quantities, man-hours, machine usage, and subcontractor costs

Prepare comprehensive BOQs and cost breakdowns

Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers for clarifications and revisions

Maintain historical cost data and update pricing libraries

Support the tendering team during bid submissions and technical offers

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or relevant field

2-4 years of experience in estimation for metal fabrication or construction

Proficient in reading architectural and fabrication/shop drawings

Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of estimation tools/software

Ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate quotes within deadlines

Good communication skills and client coordination experience
