The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects involving aluminium and glass works, including facades, curtain walls, doors, windows, skylights, and structural glazing systems. The Estimator will play a key role in helping the company win projects and maintain profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for aluminium and glass systems.
Quantify material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare and submit quotations and tender documents within deadlines.
Coordinate with the design and production teams to ensure accuracy in pricing.
Maintain updated pricing databases and cost records.
Participate in project handovers to the execution team post-award.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors when needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimating for glass and aluminium works.
Strong knowledge of aluminium systems (e.g., Technal, Gulf Extrusions, Alumil, etc.)
Proficient in reading technical drawings and BOQs.
Familiar with local market pricing and suppliers.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tenders.
Preferred:
UAE/GCC experience.
Knowledge of thermal break systems and energy-efficient glazing.
Familiarity with facade engineering standards and regulations.
