Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Quotation Preparation
Prepare accurate cost estimates for glass partition works, including materials, accessories, hardware, and installation.
Analyze drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documents to produce detailed quotations.
Technical Evaluation
Review project requirements, measurements, and site conditions to determine material suitability and technical feasibility.
Provide technical support to sales and project teams regarding glass types, thicknesses, hardware, and fixing details.
Supplier & Vendor Coordination
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for glass, aluminum frames, hardware, and related materials.
Evaluate supplier quotations to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with project standards.
Tender & Proposal Preparation
Prepare tender submissions, cost summaries, and commercial proposals for consultants and contractors.
Ensure all estimates align with project timelines, technical requirements, and company pricing standards.
Site Visits & Measurements
Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, assess installation challenges, and gather technical information.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain organized documentation of estimates, quotations, supplier prices, and project correspondence.
Prepare periodic reports on pricing trends, material costs, and project competitiveness.
Coordination & Support
Work closely with sales, design, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of awarded projects.
Assist in resolving technical queries from clients or internal departments.
Requirements
Minimum
3-8 years
of experience in estimation related to glass partitions, glazing, or aluminum works in the UAE.
Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering
,
Architecture
,
Mechanical Engineering
, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of glass types, architectural hardware, frameless glass systems, and office partition solutions.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
,
MS Office
, and estimation software.
Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.
UAE experience in glass/facade/fitout estimation is
mandatory
