Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Review drawings, specifications, BOMs, and project documents to understand scope Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overheads Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Analyze historical data to improve accuracy of future estimates Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams on project feasibility Assess project risks and prepare contingency allowances Maintain a database of costs and estimation records Support bid submissions and tender documentation Participate in project handover meetings when required Track actual costs vs estimated costs after project execution

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or related field 2-5+ years of experience as an Estimator (industry-dependent) Strong analytical and mathematical skills Proficiency in Excel and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX - if applicable) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and time-management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of local/international sourcing and logistics Knowledge of contracts and tendering processes

KPIs / Performance Indicators:
