Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed estimates. Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs for projects. Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and pricing sheets. Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks in project proposals. Maintain updated cost databases and historical pricing records. Coordinate with the project team to ensure estimates align with project goals. Prepare and submit quotations/tenders within deadlines. Attend meetings, site visits, and clarifications when required. Assist in value engineering and proposal development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field. Proven experience as an Estimator in joinery, fit-out, construction, or related industry. Strong understanding of materials, pricing, and industry standards. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency in MS Office and estimation software (e.g., Excel, AutoCAD etc.). Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in joinery and fit-out estimation. Knowledge of local suppliers and market pricing.
